Zone Holding: Principle
In this NanoMod, the players play on the same side and their goal is to defend a place of the map. Numerous monsters spawn more and more quickly and move to the objective the players protect. If too many monsters manage to reach it, the game is over. To be honest, it is impossible for the players not to loose... It is a matter of minutes, or hours for the bravest of you!
Comments
In order to improve the smoothness or the rhythm of the game, you can decrease or increase the amount of monsters. That also respectively increases or decreases the monsters' stamina and the amount of points they weight. The more monsters spawn (compared to the standard amount), the less they damage the objective the players defend.
It is possible to play this NanoMod alone, unless the map is not designed for that. This NanoMod works in the mode FFA only.
Specific commands
- clean: modifies the corpses removal delay (expressed in seconds, expects a number higher or equal to 0.01)
- maxi: modifies the maximum amount of monsters alive at the same time (useful to control the frame rate, expects a number higher or equal to 16)
- ratio: modifies the amount of monsters per player (useful to control the frame rate with many players, the result of the multiplication of this ratio by the number of players must be higher or equal 1 and lower or equal to 32)
- kamikaze: once activated, this mode forces every monster to die when it reaches the objective the players defend (expects on or off)

Camp
- Ideally designed for 4 to 16 players
- You have been landed on a little island in the context of some experiments on poor monkeys, to intervene just in case. But your arrival turns out bad, and the team counts on you to defend the camp while sending an SOS. Be careful if you are not enough players because the creatures can come from every side at the same time.
- Designed on June 2006 and updated on October 2006 (Full release 1.1.3)
- Is provided with the full release 1.1.3 (October 19, 2006) of the mod that can be found here.
-
Ball Trap
- Ideally designed for 2 to 12 players
- The particularity of this map is that the objective to protect is located at a few hundreds of meters from the camp where you are. The monsters make huge jumps while going to the objective, which allows you to see them and to shoot them like pigeons...
