Lone Run: Principle
The goal, in this NanoMod, is to reach zones to earn points, and also to prevent opponents to reach those zones. To make things interesting, the maps are star-shaped: the players spawn in its center and the zones are placed at the end of its branches. You have many ways of scoring: use flashbang grenades or smoke ones, create diversions or simultaneous assaults, kill your opponents etc. That is the key concept of this NanoMod, but we can imagine standard or maze-shaped maps where players should smartly run to reach as many different zones as possible.
Comments
A zone is locked immediately after a player scores in it, and turns usable again once this player dies. This lock can be applied only to the player who scored in the zone or only to the members of his team or just to every player. It is also possible to disable the zone lock.
It is not possible to play this NanoMod alone. It requires at least two players. This NanoMod works in the modes FFA and TDM.
Specific commands
- lock: defines the lock impact of a zone just being used (expects off or all or team or player)
- zone: modifies the number of points earned by reaching a zone (expects auto or a number between 1 and 10)
- frag: modifies the number of points earned by killing a player having just scored in a zone (expects auto or a number between zero and 10)
- bonus: enables or disables the multiplier bonus rewarding a player managing to score in several zones without dying (expects on or off)
- respawn: modifies the players' respawn delay (expressed in seconds, expects a number higher or equal to zero)

Available maps
-
Sewers
- Ideally designed for 6 to 12 players
- This map is six-branch-star-shaped and some of its branches are linked together. A zone is located at the end of each branch. Of course, the players spawn at the center of the star. It is better not to disable the zone lock because of the shape of the map.
- Designed on July 2006 and updated on October 2006 (Full release 1.1.3)
- Is provided with the full release 1.1.3 (October 19, 2006) of the mod that can be found here.
-
FaceOff
- Ideally designed for 6 to 16 players
- On that map, the players are divided in two groups at the center of which there are two zones. So, each group must progress to those zones by forcing the opponent group to go back. The FFA game mode is available although the TDM one is recommended.
- Designed on October 2006
- Requires the Beta version 1.1.3 (October 19, 2006) of the mod that can be found here.
- Download the map FaceOff in .zip format (8.9 MB)
