Welcome to the Far Cry NanoMods web site. The NanoMods are brand new multiplayer game modes for Far Cry. There are five different NanoMods at the moment, which are put together into a single mod, and each of them uses maps especially designed for it. I invite you to have a look at this web site to learn more about the NanoMods and of course to download the mod.
The NanoMods are currently play-tested but they work well. The purpose of those tests is to improve the gameplay of every NanoMod and to fine tune its settings - to make them as fun as possible. Little bugs may persist here and there, and I am also interested in finding them.
I hope you appreciate my NanoMods, and I thank you for playing them - by the way, do not forget the official public server. And feel free to make comments and suggestions on my work.

News of 24 November 2006 - Patch 1.2 - Addition of the Wonder 8 NanoMod!
This patch must be applied to the full version 1.1.3. It brings it the following changes:
- Added the Wonder 8 NanoMod and its first map: w8_forts.
- Constraint Kill: Improved the way frags that add or remove points are notified.
- Constraint Kill: Fixed the messages problem at the constraints set change.
- Some minor fixes and various optimizations.

News of 27 October 2006 - New map available: lr_faceoff
That map for the Lone Run NanoMod is way different from the previous one, lr_sewers. To get more details about lr_faceoff and to download it, please visit that page.
News of 19 October 2006 - Opening of the official NanoMods server!
I invite each of you to come and play online on the server øøwww.SHILKA.net [NanoMods] whose IP address is 213.202.211.135:49055. But you must have installed the version 1.1.3 of the NanoMods before joining.
News of 19 October 2006 - Full release 1.1.3 - Required to play online!
Far Cry 1.4 is required for this version to work properly. It is not necessary to uninstall any previous version of the NanoMods before installing the version 1.1.3. Here is the list of the changes brought by this new version:
- Fixed a minor bug on some maps (td_snake, zh_camp and zh_balltrap) that could cause problems on the official NanoMods public game server.
- Added the comments system and the command comment.
- Optimizations (visibles on some computers only) of the maps zh_balltrap and lr_sewers.
- Fixed a minor glitch of the news system.
- Fixed a glitch of the game limits management (time and score).
- Fixed an initialization bug for the player playing on the server.
- Fixed a glitch of the counter-flood system.

News of 9 October 2006 - Patch 1.1.2 Beta - The NanoMods finally adapt to Far Cry 1.4!
This patch must be applied to the Beta version 1.1.1. It brings it the following changes:
- Compatibility with the new features of Far Cry 1.4.
- Added the NanoMods news system and the command news.
- Improved the votable commands restart and map.
- Fixed a bug with the client-side initialization of the NanoMods.
- Improved the behaviour of the ProximityTrigger.
- Improved the way the language is managed.
- Added the map ck_carnades (available since September 19, 2006).
- Added the map zh_balltrap (available since October 2, 2006).

News of 2 October 2006 - New map available: zh_balltrap
With such a name, explanations are not required... But you can click here to learn more about this Zone Holding map. It is not possible to download it anymore since it is provided with the latest version of the mod.
News of 25 September 2006 - Patch 1.1.1 Beta
This patch must be applied to the Beta version 1.1. It brings it the following changes:
- Fixed the heightmap size problem on the map zh_camp that caused lags on every map loaded after it.
- Improved the Tower Defense NanoMod: a tool is no longer lost if its owner dies, goes spectator or disconnects.
- Fixed the bug 'GetEntitiesInBox...' thanks to rubin from the clan [SIG] (www.shilka.net). Thanks rubin!
- Updated some texts here and there...

News of 19 September 2006 - New map available: ck_carnades
Finally, here is an original map for the Constraint Kill NanoMod. To know its particularities, please click here. It is not possible to download it anymore since it is provided with the latest version of the mod.
News of 15 September 2006 - The NanoMods shape officially changes!
The official solution to the problem related to the folder FCData and PunkBuster has just been uploaded. It is a program installing the NanoMods Beta version 1.1 as a true mod. It also features somes content modifications compared to the old release:
- Fixed a configuration error on the map ck_monkeybay that prevented the constraints distribution in FFA.
- Added the command help granting in-game access to the NanoMod instructions.
This installer weights 24.5 MB but is not downloadable anymore in the part Download.
